WDP 4D of Indian Railway

WDP 4D is an Diesel-Electric locomotive developed by EMD. This is a dual cab variant of WDP 4B. WDP 4D is a mainline locomotive with 2 stroke 16 cylinder turbocharged engine and power output of 4500 hp. This class of locomotive is widely successful in India, with a top speed of 135kmph. WDP 4D is mainly used for passenger duties all over India. This class of locomotive is manufactured by EMD till 2002 and from then it is being manufactured by DLW(now BLW).
